2. Service Refund Policy
2.1 Standard Makeup Services
For standard makeup services (including but not limited to special occasion makeup, editorial makeup, and makeup lessons):
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to appointment: Full refund of any payments made (excluding non-refundable deposits)
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of appointment: No refund
- No-shows: No refund
2.2 Bridal Makeup Services
For bridal makeup services (including trials and wedding day makeup):
- Deposits: All bridal bookings require a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total service cost
- Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the wedding date: Refund of any payments made beyond the non-refundable deposit
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the wedding date: No refund
- Date changes: Subject to availability and may incur additional fees
2.3 Group Workshops
For group makeup workshops:
- Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the workshop: Full refund
- Cancellations made 7-14 days prior to the workshop: 50% refund
- Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the workshop: No refund
- Minimum participant requirements: If a workshop is canceled by Modern Canvas due to insufficient participants, a full refund will be provided
3. Service Dissatisfaction
We take pride in our work and want every client to be completely satisfied with our services. If you are dissatisfied with the services provided:
- You must inform us of your dissatisfaction immediately during or immediately after the service while you are still at our location or while our artist is still at your location
- We will make reasonable efforts to address your concerns and make adjustments to the makeup application
- Refunds for service dissatisfaction are evaluated on a case-by-case basis
- Claims of dissatisfaction made after you have left our location or after our artist has left your location may not be eligible for refunds
Please note that refunds are not provided for:
- Subjective preferences regarding makeup style, when the application matches what was agreed upon during consultation
- Circumstances beyond our control (e.g., weather affecting makeup longevity)
- Issues arising from client-provided products or tools
4. Product Refund Policy
4.1 Unused Products
For unused, sealed products purchased directly from Modern Canvas:
- Returns accepted within 14 days of purchase with original receipt
- Products must be unopened, unused, and in original packaging
- A full refund will be issued using the original payment method
4.2 Defective Products
For defective products:
- Returns accepted within 14 days of purchase with original receipt
- Products determined to be defective will be eligible for a full refund or exchange
- We reserve the right to inspect products to verify the defect
4.3 Product Exclusions
The following items are not eligible for return or refund:
- Opened or used cosmetic products (for hygiene reasons)
- Sale or discounted items marked as "final sale"
- Gift items received with purchases
- Products not purchased directly from Modern Canvas

- Credit/Debit Card payments: Refunded to the original card

- Cash payments: Refunded in cash or by bank transfer, as agreed with the client

Once approved, refunds will be processed as follows:
- Credit/Debit Card refunds: Initiated within 3-5 business days, though it may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement depending on your financial institution
- Bank transfer refunds: Initiated within 3-5 business days, with processing times varying depending on your financial institution
- Cash refunds: Available for immediate collection by appointment
